Our Group Outplacement Service Provision
When there are a number of staff affected at any one time, it is often most cost effective, and mutually supportive for participants, to provide support services which are built around group events. Typical elements are as follows:
Self-Marketing Seminar
This is regarded as a cornerstone of the services. It is a 1 day course covering the nuts and bolts of job search; including considering realistic options, identifying skills and strengths, creating an effective CV, addressing the job market, making applications, and preparing for interviews. It provides a good grounding for further support. A Reference Manual is provided
Interview Skills Workshop
For those unfamiliar with current interview processes we can provide an optional 1 day course which covers the whole topic of interviews in greater depth. To meet the different needs of various categories of staff, we have a range of formats for this event. Alternatively, a separate personalised practical session can be offered at a later stage as part of the individual support
One-to-One Follow-up Consultancy
This service is usually offered on a pre-booked ‘clinic’ day basis to pursue topics featured in the Self-Marketing Seminar and helps to provide the individual with some personalised service. Topics addressed in these sessions include evaluating options, final CV crafting, writing letters and completing application forms and personal interview practice. Each meeting is usually of between 1 and 2 hours. Most individuals take advantage of two or three sessions
