Rising to the Challenge of Change
Change is a constant in life. However, how we respond to any change scenario will depend upon our personality and what else is happening in our lives at the time. We know that things do not stay the same forever. How we manage these events and how they affect us is governed by the level of control we have over the change
Hurst delivers a 1 day workshop which explores the human dimensions of change. For every change, we go through a transition. The workshop explores the transition process and supports individuals in helping them to build positively and practically on the opportunities presented by the change they are facing
Elements covered during the event include:
- Introduction to change - It requires alterations in activities, attitudes and behaviours from what is currently done. Change is a journey
- Learning to recognise your emotions in response to the proposed changes and why you feel that way
- Change is external and transition is internal – this workshop explores the different emotions people experience at different stages based on the transition curve
- Moving from our comfort zone– learning to let go of the present in order to move to the future
- The importance of building rapport and trust
- The importance of effective communication and a clear vision
- Understanding why change is necessary
- Identifying the positives and the opportunities
